Kick-off meeting 9.10.2023 (Kloster Irsee)

At the first retreat meeting, the young researchers met for a kick-off meeting. Volunteers for MGK board members were found and first ideas for events discussed.

Young researchers Retreat meeting 28.-29.11.2023 (Augsburg)

This 2-day event was used as an ice breaker for the MGK. The young researcher got the chance to get to know each other. First young researchers presented topics related to their work. The Ö-project gave a presentation about Educational Escape Games and the young researchers collected ideas about how the Quantum Escape Game, planned by the Ö-project, could look like.

Industry Visit 15.07.2024 (München)

We recently had the exciting opportunity to visit two leading companies in the field of quantum technologies: Attocube Systems AG and Kiutra GmbH. This visit was a highly insightful experience for our team, offering a deep dive into the latest advancements in precision nanopositioning systems and cryogen-free refrigeration.

At Attocube, we explored cutting-edge nanopositioning and measurement technologies that are revolutionizing industries ranging from research laboratories to advanced manufacturing. Meanwhile, at Kiutra, we toured their state-of-the-art facility and witnessed firsthand their innovative cryogen-free cooling systems, specifically designed for quantum computing applications.

Young researchers Workshop 28.-30.08.2024 (Herrsching am Ammersee)

In the beautiful hotel “Haus der bayerischen Landwirtschaft” near the Ammersee, the young researchers came together for a 3-day workshop. Presentations and posters gave everyone the opportunity to show their research topic, to exchange ideas and create cooperations. Highlights were a workshop by the Ö-project on how to make a short video about one’s own research, a workshop on “Diversity and unconcious Bias in Science” as well as a discussion about good scientific practice. Additionally there was time to socialize and simply enjoy the time together.
