Focus Lecture

We are pleased to invite you to another focus lecture organized within the framework of the MGK project of TRR360.

Dr. Anton Jesche has kindly agreed to talk about the following topic:

“A Solution for Crystal Growth: Crystal Growth from Solution“

Abstract

Solution growth is a powerful and versatile method for producing high-quality crystals, offering numerous advantages for optimizing sample size, improving crystal quality, and enabling detailed substitution studies. This approach is particularly useful for exploratory research, as it allows crystal growth at lower reaction temperatures, reduced vapor pressures, and with smaller material quantities compared to other techniques. Additionally, solution growth often incorporates an “in situ purification” process, enhancing the quality of the starting materials during crystallization.

The lecture is scheduled for March 4th at 10:00 AM in Room 403S at the Institute of Physics, University of Augsburg.

PhD students are strongly encouraged to attend in person and share this email with interested colleagues. (There will be a bonus for those attending in person.)
