C7: Cavity-based control of quantum magnets: frustration, entanglement, and competing orders

The project aims at investigating, both experimentally and theoretically, cavity-based control of the collective behaviour of magnetic degrees of freedom (DOFs) in the quantum materials relevant for the TRR360. The photons within the cavity will be used to mediate long-range interactions between spins, capable of controlling magnetic order as well as of entangling the spins. Moreover, the cavity output light will be used as a real-time, non-invasive probe of spin correlations and entanglement.
