DESCRIPTION:Emergent Magnetic Textures in Topological Materials \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nProf. Oleg Trietiakov \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSchool of Physics\, University of New South Wales\, Sydney\, Australia \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nI will discuss emergent topological magnetic textures\, including skyrmions\, merons\, bimerons\, and antibimerons\, which form nanoscale chiral whirls in magnetic order. These textures are promising candidates for information carriers in next-generation electronic and spintronic devices because they can be efficiently driven at high velocities by current-induced spin torques. I will first focus on bimerons [1] and antibimerons [2] in ferromagnetic topological materials and discuss their spin-wave modes. I will then show that antiferromagnets can also host a rich variety of such textures\, offering advantages such as terahertz dynamics\, deflection-free motion [3]\, and improved size scaling due to the absence of stray fields. Finally\, I will demonstrate that merons and bimerons can be generated at room temperature and reversibly moved by electrical pulses in both antiferromagnetic [4] and ferromagnetic systems [5]. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nReferences:[1] B.
